Black Slate Stone is a valuable rock in aquascapes. Experienced aquascapes have used it to build complex structures due to its ease of stacking and ability to construct contours and shadows. It is dark-textured with stripes that are generally black and grey. The sizes differ and can be easily broken down to suit and create a deep depth perception. Black Slates have flat, smooth surfaces.
